I've decided to take this question to /out/ rather than to /adv/, because I have found that I PERSONALLY am a greater voice of wisdom than the majority of responses people get on /adv/ and frankly I find that highly disturbing.

ANYWAY, look /out/, I want to experience things that will make me less likely to become confused over something like a masculine identity. One of my coworkers is a guy who grew up hunting and fishing and knowing how to take top care of his firearms, and honest to God, I want to learn how to be a more self-sufficient, self-protective, self-assured hunter the same way he is.
How the FUCK do I ask him to teach me how to fish and hunt? Should I just ask him straight up? Is there anything wrong with asking someone if they can let me join them to learn these things?
