Make sure he knows that you like him barking at the pig, give him rewards. 2 -3 days a week from when they are 6 months to a year. If you have a decent amount of land set a chase up for him or her with a relativity young boar and you'll see if they get the hang of it or not. A jam up dog will be good about predicting where that one boar it is focused on is going to go. An unfocused dog will get killed. Improving their focus and trust within you is going to make the biggest different. When you feel confident they will to, but only if they trust you.
