>>1662676I always camp solo, the exception being i visited Malcata with the gf at dawn, we pitched tent but didn't stay overnight, left right during sunset (fyi it's easy getting your little car stuck in there lmao be careful)
>post campI actually never too a pic, maybe once to show my brother but I don't have the pic anymore. Since I'm fairly convinced camping is illegal I hide my tent in places I'm unlikely to be seen from above or bellow trails, usually not far off a secondary / unused / abandoned pathway. I carry a smol tent easy to pitch, food water, a good knife, a defense bat and two flashlights, matchsticks (but I never start fires), phone and phone powerbank
>what animalsdeer, boar, Malcata has lynx and gf has seen them when she was a kid but we didn't get to see any while we were there. The weather was actually kinda bad so we ended up staying most of the time in the tent eating talking and fucking around. Had a couple of hikes but not long ones since we were a bit under-prepared for that ammount of water.
>it's not so much when you're trying to put some serious km while walking on mud and being pelted by cold rain. This is true and when I camped in Valongo couple of nights ago I actually had to find a place to set camp way past dark and in the windy rain, it wasnt too bad but I ended up soaked and the night was rather hard on me due to the cold/wetness (hence posting on /out/ at 2am while /out/ kek)
I gotta say tho never camp with the specific purpose of getting a lot of km under my boots its more of a "catching toads and exploring and feeling nature" sort of deal. A bit more ascetic than goal oriented because I keep choosing worse and worse conditions to surpass.
Ever seen anything cool in Gerês? its somewhere i never been to and am looking very forward to explore.
