Well there isn't much to discuss about that... there's much less gearfagging than other activities, even less with freediving. It's actually the reason why I switched to freediving, it feels so much better to enjoy the depths with nothing but a mask, a suit and fins.
I'm still a beginner myself, I just passed the 2 minute mark of safely being underwater without feeling the slightest discomfort. But there's still so much to learn...
