How do I learn to hunt with a bow? Where do I start? I've never gone hunting but I would really like to learn to hunt turkey.

Any advice? I have a few hundred bucks I'd be willing to throw at it.

Go take a couple lessons from someone that uses a bow, learn on recurve as it's easy to go recurve > compound but not the other way, spend a couple days a week practicing and look up what poundage to suit your game.

This is the wrong advice, get a compound bow with adjustable poundage and draw length so you can start low, work on form and then dial it up. A recurve will severely limit your range and accuracy and you will likely get frustrated and give up. Sean’s outdoor adventures on YT is a great resource for bow and general hunting tips. Otherwise you can look at John dudley or cam Hanes stuff. Do a lot of research on what you are getting before you buy it, bows are very specific to the user and you can’t just pick any arrows of the shelf you gotta look at weight and spine for the poundage you’re shooting. If you get good with a compound and still want to do a recurve then I would say make the switch.

What bow do you want to use? Either way start working on your upper body strength, it's key to archery.
When you have your bow of choice practice shooting until you can hit a mark at 30 metres.
Practice, practice, practice. You need to be good. You need to be able to draw, aim and shoot in one smooth motion and land a solid blow from the spot. Don't be deluded into thinking you can draw and hold, on any bow you should be using you won't be able to hold it for long, if at all.

Well there's literally no way to prove that one way or the other. I could post a picture of all my non-existent compound bows? You do you though, I was just ribbing you because I don't like compound bows.
