not sure if this is the right board so sorry if it isn't.
I want to put plants in the gap between my bamboo screening to make my garden more green and act as living screening. the gaps are 5ft/150cm wide and are paved so I would have to use large pots or raised beds. right now I'm looking at getting clumping bamboo at around 5-6ft tall or running bamboo which will grow quicker. I know that I need rhizome barriers and slabs for the latter.
I want something that can fill the 5ftx6ft gap either straight away or within a few months and costs around £50 max ($65) per plant. e.g. if one large plant fills the gap then I only need 3 as there are only three gaps. I live in SE england so hardiness zone 8b-9a. which plants would you recommend?
