>>1664143>>1664118I can walk through water with my sneakers and thick as fuck wool socks and my feet will remain warm in 20F weather (colder weather and I need insulated boots). Normally, the problem will be reduced circulation to your feet. Either you have a health problem(PAD/Raynaud’s, diabetes, obesity) or the footwear is restricting blood flow. I wear shoes larger than normal in winter so that my extra thick socks have room and my feet are not being squished.
Get some insulated, waterproof boots, in 1 size larger than you normally wear, and use extra thick heavy weight wool socks with them. If you find that your feet start sliding around inside the wool socks, wear the thinnest dress socks as your first layer then wear the wool socks over them. That way you won't get blisters. Do not wear anything that starts squeezing or restricting blood flow. Restricting blood flow is the WORST thing that can happen. Like if you wear socks, for sleeping in a tent in the winter, only ever wear very loose ones or you may lose some toes.
Here's the wool socks I use and recommend. (note these are not for -50F temps, that is just a trademark "-50 Below", despite what the description falsely states,) These are only good for about 20F without insulated boots. Wear insulated boots or better socks if you need better protection in colder weather:
