Most of my 46 years of life I've stuck to private land and what was once known as "GA Craft" land, and there are plenty of WMA type areas as well. Then there is also the Pinhoti trail which is only beginning to become known by more than a tiny few folks. I've only ever run into another hiker on it one time.
GA is excellent /out/ for anyone who knows how to see it and isn't a pleb mind only capable of "muh overtly spectacular vistas".
