>>1669748I kinda figured they were never really alone. I'm on season 2 and it's obvious that they get weekly medical checks/battery changes. Probably a pretty sweet gig to sit on the party boat and only work one or two days a week. It's also obvious that they picked the areas and timeframes specifically to dissuade anyone with an iota of skill from actually living there more than 90 days. Obviously to save on the insurance that you mentioned. That and the shoe-horned drama from people with weak backstories kind of makes it cringey. Like just be honest, you agreed to do this because 500k is a nice chunk of money.
>putting on 100lbs before they goI don't think I'm far in enough to witness this, but that's the most obvious technique. Get fat and turtle up, you'll win by default if you can subsist, which is what season 1 and 2 have done. Pretty good show and a nice change from other outdoorsy shows, but it's still TV. Gonna keep watching though. Wonder why they can't just have some standard boilerplate to sign saying "dude you're going into the Yukon, understand you WILL die if you aren't skilled" and just let them have at it. I guess that stuff would never hold in court, especially with them dangling that big prize out there.
