I got a pretty good impression of the inland in Kaldidalur even though I made it through in a single day (I had strong tail wind).
'twas a good opportunity to put my bike to a test.
Which it passed, though I'm concerned my fork might be to weak for my merciless riding style...
I don't agree about the months of preparation though.
You either travel on a bike that is fit for such roads or you don't.
I could've spontaneously decided to bike all the way over one of the major inland roads if they had been open at the time.
That's my own philosophy at least, I like to live in the moment when I'm touring.
