>>1673589There is a certain beauty to being in the swamp when the sun starts to set. Hearing the gators and frogs start to croak, the cicadas, the sun shining through the cyprus and spanish moss.
That being said, camping in swamp hammock when it's hot fucking sucks. There are so many bugs. Ticks, ants, mosquites. I remember I did a backpacking trip out here in Florida in the Green Swamp back in May and it was pretty miserable. Pulled a bunch of ticks off of me, couldn't sleep because it was so hot.
The hike out in the morning was gorgeous though. All the fog and haze lingering in the fields makes for a pretty site.
