I dont want to hijack your thread op but this seems like its becoming a backpack thread so: I just got back from an outing that was the farthest north ive been, all my gear held up good but my teton scout got buried in snow over time, got wet and froze. The rain cover did an okay job of keeping the snow out while i placed the bag down and removed items from it to fish. but is not big enough to cover the pack when i have all my goodies lashed to the outside of it.
Any of you anons do some serious sub-zero outing what kind of packs do you rock and how big? Im guessing 4 season backpacks exist. Another problem i had was my zippers icing up and getting jammed. Im not looking for bushcraft stuff but if you wanna tell me about your bushcraft pack and how you avoid these problems im all ears.
