Hey frens, I want to get my fiancé into camping so I think it makes sense to start out with car camping. I have a large suv that we can easily sleep in if I remove the back seats.

Do you guys have any advice to make sure she enjoys the trip?

Car camping IMO is when you camp next to the car.

Go to a nice campground where you can put a nice tent on a nice level spot, you have all your gear 10 feet away so you aren’t hauling it miles and miles and have a nice fire, roast some good food and sleep on a big comfy blow up air mattress.

The back of a car is not comfortable and it loses the “we are camping” feel.

I disagree entirely. Especially when you're going to a public campsite.
When you're in the back of a suv, assuming it isn't 40°+ and miserable, it's actually very protective. It is quiet, shielded from wind, shielded from moisture, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, shielded from bugs, insects, and wildlife which love to fly or crawl or chew their way to you with only the goal of annoying you.
The noise bit is especially important in public campsites if you are a sensitive sleeping person because there is a lot of foreign noise and noise of others.

My suggestion for a successful trip is to not go to public campground but instead go find a forest or public land which allows dispersed camping and try to locate somewhere both beautiful and secluded/private.

just put a tent up and pad the shit out of it. bring pretty much all the bedding from your bed at home with pillows to make it as comfy as possible.
buy the best food possible and cook with her to make it excellent. big meals usually means a good time around the campfire. with desert.

Get a yurt or large tent. Car camping is fine, but staying in a car to sleep is difficult depending to the space and it also doesn't offer much in the way of insulation/wind. If you want her to enjoy it you have to make sure she knows it doesn't hasn't have to be miserable. Sawyers anti bug candle, nice tent, and a two person pad with plenty of warmth.

If this is her first out experience make sure she has the following: (keep in mind, i dont know your wife maybe there are things you could cut out she wouldnt care about)
-Comfy bedding almost equal to that of home
-Hearty delicious camping food
-Access to showers (this is why you should go to a car camping campground not just sleep in your car)
You have to ease her in, one bad experience and she is not going to want to come again.

Great advice. I would add a nice bottle of wine to the good food. Candles or warm lantern lighting. Ideally flushing toilets, or at least toilets that aren't too stinky.

Make the food easy to deal with and what you both like. Bring a frozen block of dinner you only need to reheat in a cookpot. Use a camp stove for the food, use the fire for hotdogs and smores.
Make the food plan bulletproof. Botched meals are a major downer.

This. You don't have to go full cringe but one of the key things that turn people off to camping is that the first nights sleep is just uncomfortable. Then they wake up sore, groggy and grumpy etc. snowball effect. First impressions and all that. So make sure she gets the most comfortable spot that you can make happen. Also don't let her see you get spooked under any circumstances,. If a bear sticks his head in your tent. Smile and ask him in to play poker and simply assert your dominance by winning.

My wife and I go camping all the time together, and sometimes we are roughing it (backpacking), sometimes we're there for a fly-fishing trip, or other times we're going to an area because there's some tourist trap or festival to get involved in.

A bunch of /out-ists think everyone needs to take their gf or fiance out where you have to build a hut out of mud and sticks, and live off the land for a first camping trip. Trouble is, unless they get a thrill from that kind of stuff, you'll end up with a lot of awkward down-time trying to figure out what to do together.
