My parents said if I walk in those woods, the people that live around will call the police on me, and I'll be hit with a 5k fine for illegal hunting. I am also worried that it is illegal to conceal an air rifle in Texas.

They also said someone will walk up behind me and shoot me and kill me for hunting with an air rifle, and then they'll lie and say I pointed it at them.

What are your thoughts on this?
I was ready to go, I had my boots and pants on and was about to go bird hunting and then my parents stopped me.
