Northface is also great. They are known as a normie brand on here but the boots are top shelf imo. I got a pair for $50 bucks at an outlet just to use working out in the yard. They are the real deal. I find myself using them when hiking about half the time now just to preserve the life of my Asolo boots. And they are holding up great.
So: $250 Asolo Flames vs $50 Northface boots. The Asolo are better, but not 5 times better. I say buy some Northface boots if you aren't going that often and don't want to spend a lot.
I've used Wolverine, Salomon, Keen, Vasque, and Sorel. The above two brands beat all these in normal hiking conditions. The Sorel I got beat everything in 0-20 degrees or snow due to how they are constructed (but not hiking long distance).
