honestly they main use for mine is digging shit (sometimes literal shit) out of the firepits at shlet sites or campsites
but when you need to take a shit it makes digging a whole fuck of a lot easier. would never take it hiking tho, but for car camping its a must

fair enough. where i go car camping it's literally 10+ miles down dirt logging roads in over a million acres of forest. i bring a full sized shovel, axe and chainsaw, and use them all.

Have a similar one to that, it's not too effective when you need to start building trenches around your main tent, I find it best to just dig them a foot deep two foot wide and put in sharpened sticks and glass. Normally i'll bring a full sized shovel if I plan to entrench the whole camp and set up water flow channels with sandbags to prevent flooding
