Stagnant wages and rising prices, coupled with a lack of paid leave or affordable child care renders even interstate travel a difficult prospect, to say nothing of international travel. Few of us have the money, and fewer still have the time.
In short, blame neoliberal capitalism. This country is working itself to death.
