CHEAP KNIFE
I get these for $1-$2 and they are great for what I use them for and dont weigh me down
Baofeng doesnt cause a lot of tears when it flies off the handlebars fo my bike at 20 MPH

100 dollar chinese takedown shortbow. Probably the best takedown you can get for that price I love it. Works fine for bunnies and bowfishing.

Is there a reason to get something like a mora or a coldsteel over just some cheap hatchet and food prep knives? All I can see is that the "outdoor" knives have a thicker spine.

I would say a Opinel and a Mora covers you for 99% of /out/ knife tasks

These Chinese tactical flashlights sold everywhere, but stick an 18650 in there instead of 3x AAA’s, works bretty gud. Starting to love these folding worklights too, 2 for $18 on Amazon (so even cheaper on Ali or Ebay I’m sure), runs a couple hours on high with whatever 18650 they stuck inside, magnet and hook on the bottom and little flashlight on the tip. I grab those instead of a regular flashlight most of the time I’m in the yard doing some shit at night.

I got the chinkbow with 45lbs draw. Using a luggage weight scale it measured 38 and tightening the string brought it up to only 40. My draw length is exactly on the 28 inch average and my starter 30lbs starter bow measured exactly 30lbs.

I don't own a proper knife and it's kind of bugging me. I wanted to sharpen a pencil, and had to use my carpenter blade.

I live near a Bass Pro Shop, Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart, etc. There's some other outdoor stores nearby, too.

I need a stone and knife that I can pick up today and get started with. Not trying to buy it for life, but I do need something *now*. I'd like to keep it beneath $100, can be folded, fits in pocket, etc. Just something to carry around and beat up a bit.

Any recs?
