>>1685975>Firearms legal/illegal in your countrysomewhat legal (most types need to be registered and full-autos, explosives and cartridge-using handguns require a permit). I don't include guns in my plans though as they're unreliable and loud compared to my crossbow. a semiauto handgun might be slightly useful, but I don't have that (yet).
>pack sizeDepends on scenario. my largest is 100L + straps on the outside, my go-to is ~10L + straps.
>starting foodAs much flour, bacon, onions and dried fruit as I've got on hand.
Other than that:
small knife (mora)
multitool
large knife / machete
hemp shirts (3)
wool pullover
denim cutoff or leather jacket as windbreaker (depending on season)
jeans
underwear (4 underpants, as many socks as I can fit)
felt hat
solid boots with long-lasting soles
sawyer mini filter set
several water bottles with belt / strap mounts
american milsurp folding pan
small spoon
ferrorod, tin with char
half of a german "dog hut" tent (serves as tarp, poncho and camoflage)
light sleeping bag
german surplus pad (also backpadding of the pack)
2m long walking staff, steeltipped on both sides
1st aid kit
Propably missed some things, but that's basically my minimum kit. Except for the clothes and food, it's readily packed.
Depending on early development, I might take more stuff like tools (felling and carpenter axes, a proper saw, entrenching tool) or barter material (vodka, prec. metals). In that case, the slung bag with my minimum gear goes on the back of my large ALICE.
