>>1686499>How difficult will this be when I'm in the wild without any roads?Depends on where you are. in central europe (where I am), there are thorny vines growing virtually everywhere along the railway. Walking through them is almost impossible without a machete and a pain with one, as the vines grow mostly horizontal, making them hard to cut.
On the other hand, here the tracks normally have unpaved maintenance roads right beside them. Those are easy to walk on unless there's been a lot of rain recently.
