What's the behavior differences between wolves and coyotes? Theoretically could a human "live" with a pack of coyotes like some have with wolves?

Coyotes are literally legend for avoiding humans. The lore about them states they can avoid humans for days. It's nearly impossible to still hunt them. There is a reason they are hunted with calls, bait, and dogs

I've interacted with coyotes before. You just stand your ground and stay calm and they'll just look at you. That's quite similar to vids I've seen of human and wild wolf relationships

Man, a couple days ago at my local park while I was fishing for stocked trout there was an absolute UNIT of a coyote running around the park like it had the zoomies. 60-70 pounds easily, looked nothing like a skinny coyote I'm used to seeing. Freaked me out because the damn thing ran 10 feet right in front of me around the park like it had the zoomies or something. Yelled at it to fuck off loudly and he just ran past me.

A friend of mine was walking her two big dogs on Belle Isle, which is an island park in the Detroit River minutes from downtown Detroit, and got menaced by multiple coyotes. I posted above that they’re not usually pack animals but this time there was a gang of them. She’s not a bullshitter and was really freaked out. Her dogs were going crazy and she had to drag them to the car.
I worked in a park in lower Manhattan where we had a coyote make it all the way down there. She was a scrawny young female and they darted her and took her upstate. They’ve made it to Central Park and are all over the big parks and cemeteries in the Bronx. Their ability to thrive in built up human environments is impressive.

Literally used to play disc golf and run into a coyote at least once a month. They did typically run away fairly quick, but they arent avoiding me in the great chase you fucking faggot
