Fixing a leaky Water Bladder

What can I use to fix a leaky water bladder that is not going to release a chemical into the water over time? Or should I just throw it out?

Perhaps you could heat weld a small patch on it then tape over it with pvc tape or the equivalent

If the hole is in the middle of a flat/smooth area, try 'tenacious tape' inside and out on the repair area. Cut the patches with rounded edges to prevent peeling. If it is at a seam or the like you could try a glue but I don't like your chances.
The water isn't in the bladder long enough to gain any meaningful quantities of bad stuff...

I used a patch from the patch kit that came with my inflatable air mattress to fix it on the trail but i bought a new one when i got the opportunity to.
