I live in a sort of metropolitan area and i see a lot of people burning wood in a context that is not considerate or really universalize-able.. If you live 500 feet from your neighbor and you can't figure out how to burn wood hot enough to not produce clouds of smoke, you shouldn't be burning wood. Either go far enough away to smoke yourself out, or learn to burn hot and store the heat in a mass.. I wouldn't want my pleb row-home neighbors smoking the whole neighborhood up with moldy wood smoke.
