either way she's in uniform so we're not going out for a fun snowshoe hike with a campfire. We're headed out on a miserable slog where I'll have to break trail for 4 hours each way so she can photograph beetle kill or artificial osprey nests or some shit. We won't talk because she doesn't like me and I'm afraid of being accused of sexual harassment and losing my job. When we get back to the trailhead we'll each get into our fleet vehicles and drive back to the district HQ and then never speak again for 3 months until we're assigned to go shovel snow from around an outhouse together. By then she'll have forgotten my name despite only 30 people working in our office and both of our names being on the schedule.
