>>1705010What comes to mind for me, make it easy for them. Sort out logistics, pick a destination/ direction, research it a bit, make sure all the necessary equipment is there( tents, cooking supplies, water, FOOD, wheeling supplies like a shovel, chain/straps, etc) just all the things to be comfortable out in the woods. This is assuming by weekend you mean camping too. Camping for me really adds to the fun but depends how outdoorsy they are. Biggest thing for is usually alcohol. Personally, and obviously, don’t recommend drinking and driving even off-road but for passengers to makes the ride more fun and especially for a fun evening camping afterwards. Shootings always fun, assuming everyone responsible enough and someone has a gun.
Maybe if one persons more interested then others just go the two of you scout out a location or two. Should be easier to sell if you have first hand experience with what you’re trying to talk them into plus another witness. Also good to make sure it worth while before taking a bigger group.
I’d say the biggest thing would be just talking them into doing it once, if done right wheeing is fun af so should be much easier then next time. Thats if wheelings for them. Also careful talking someone into something that could break or damage their truck. And know your vehicles limits and have a strap or other essentials if you get stuck. Be particularly careful if you’re just one vehicle. Don’t do anything crazy or even risky unless you know what you’re doing. Getting stuck or broken down could be disastrous.
FYI I’m hardly even amateur wheeler. Just done it a few times with friends. I do have a 4x4 and enjoy exploring and camping in the Polause myself. My go to is the forrest in Idaho. Clear Water National forrest. But lots of options around here.
Go Cougs.
Also off-road videos on YouTube of their jeeps kickin ass might help.
