>>1709373It sounds like it's two different ways of achieving basically the same goal, and actually some of the bigger national parks in the US are better off with a permit system for camping and stuff. It exists for a reason, over tourism (something you Europeans deal with too) by shitbags that can't respect the natural landscape were fucking them up, so they had to make it harder to use them. It only takes a few bad apples to spoil the bunch, as they say. You must be in Scandinavia, I've been meaning to go visit some friends there anyway, so I'll have to check out some /out/ activities.
