Looking to bug out. Realistically I should prepare for 2-3 years (raise funds, train, etc.).

I have basic outdoorsman skills, woodworking skills, and am of above average [atleast by american standards] physical health.

How much should I realistically save up (I was thinking in the ballpark of 15k)? I live in the eastern us btw and hope to stay here as I would like to continue familial relations.

What books (reference or active reading) should I get?

What should my acreage look like (I was thinking 5 or so acres of forest w/ a nearby body of water, relatively flat or at least with significant flat area)?

I would like to set up solar panels as I am a relatively active reader/writer and those things are way easier with lib.gen and printing, tips?
