How do I into /outdoors/?
I have no friends or family that are into it
Sometimes I say "we should go camping" or "we should go fishing" but nothing ever happens
And trying to organise something with these people is like herding cats
No one taught me this stuff so I don't know where to start

Give a specific date you want to do it. My sister lives up in WI I told her I am coming up next weekend and I want to try and fish for pike in a nearby lake. That we can walk/hike around. I warned my senpai that if they wanted to participate in fishing they need to get the proper licensure before going. My Siblings are the type to say they like going out but never actually do. If this thread is still up I’ll let you know if it actually goes off without a hitch.

Do you have gear?
Start with a day pack, stove and a mess kit, go out on short day hikes to nice spots, cook up easy meals, then head home. You'll need a water bottle, and small 1st aid kit in the pack, too.
