Place fucking sucks. I fly through that canyon all the time transiting north and south and alot of the paragliders/motors are extremely irresponsible when flying.

I grew up in Mirrormont and went to school on the Plateau. Fuck I hated traffic on Issaquah Hobart when the paragliders were out, especially when they die.

Another option is to just go to the Olympics. I am consistently surprised by how few people are there. From the Hoh Rainforest to babby's first hike in Hoodsport to the alleged tourist clusterfuck of Hurricane Ridge....these places just aren't that crowded

I did that trail a few years back in new boots, got blisters, so I walked back barefoot in the frozen water and ground - actually felt better than boots.
