The main appeal of tomahawks to me is the simple handle construction that comes off easily, seems like a waste to remove that feature.

yeah exactly, this seems like a bad compromise where the only appeal is the hexbar aesthetic.

it's doesn't look like a terrible tool OP, but there are better options that don't cost as much as a used pontiac sunfire
