I try to focus on fresh water fishing, I'm not sure if it's the high fishing pressure or if it's all the illegals but I cant seem to catch anything.

I dropped by the lake by my house that just had a trout plant on the 19th and the guy that works there told me it's already fished out.

Is fishing this shity in general or am I just in a bad area?

I live in southern commiefornia and the closest lake I have is Castaic.

Any one from so cal know where to get some good trout action?
