>>1720944>buy buy buyThat's how you acquire goods in this world, by giving something of value you don't need in exchange for something you do. You don't need money if there's no one there to sell you what you need, so you're basically telling people to travel through the wilderness with a wallet full of cash and whatever they normally use in an 8 hour period.
>Keep it simple>don't be a retardThat doesn't compute. How does planning for common variables make me a retard? I know you don't pay attention to news unless it's funny or else you would know that hundreds of people die in the wilderness every year, many of them having years of experience before hand. It takes exactly one accident to expire alone, and it's not anyone's job to keep you alive when you make stupid decisions, like bringing a meal and a camera on a hike 10 miles through undeveloped, unfamiliar territory.
>>1720951I didn't say, "Bring any random item you think could save your life in some ultra-specific situation." If you go /out/ to a secluded area, at least bring enough supplies to keep yourself alive until someone can locate you, because if you die out there as a direct result of unpreparedness (which happens everday) you'll have no one to blame but yourself.
But maybe you're right. Why should anyone worry about dying accidentally in the same manner as billions of others throughout history have? A much greater cause for concern in the outdoors are planned deaths, and as long as you don't plan to die, you have nothing to worry about.
