In LA and id dont know a damn thing about farming but i learned from minecraft, how do i grow shit, other than putting it in the dirt and watering it? I want to grow potato's tomatoes or some easy crops that grow quick? Sorry i m retarded just want a 101 crash course.

Make a bed like in the OP pic. Maybe only raise it an inch or two tho since you are in a dry climate. Add a layer of compost or topsoil on your also like OP pic. Then cover with a layer of hay, straw, animal bedding, or vegetable scraps to protect your compost layer and feed the biology a bit. Also retain moisture. Once you have a nice fertile bed prepped, anything you plant into it will take off.

Put them somewhere with indirect light and wait. Sometimes store-bought ones are treated to prevent them from sprouting, so you’re better getting seed potatoes.

I have acidic clay soil to work with, and while it's gotten better from improvements made over the years it is still not great. I've had good luck with red la soda potatoes, purple varieties of kale and cabbage, borage, cucumber, and garlic. What annual crop should I look into for more production?
I was looking into megal beets and parsnips.j

This guy is good and will tell you the most productive practices in a small place.
Urban farmer is pretty good at giving an idea of how to grow some stuff also. I would just recommend getting some nice fertile beds and experiment planting.

Nice man. Yea thos crops are plants that grow well in low poorer soils. If you get good rainfall just make beds like this (pic related). Make mounds raised 3-5 inches, put and inch of compost, then cover with hay or animal bedding. That will allow you to grow more crops like tomatoes (which need fertile soil) and also get much higher yields. Animal bedding and raised mounds is a magical combination anon. Its taken me 4 years to get that perfect recipe haha. Let me know if you live in a desert and I could tell you different advice.

I have 8 strawberries i planted in a local forest park, as a guerilla garden. What other things can i plant in bugout locations away from anyone?

What things can grow naturally without me watering them every day. I can afford to water them every week or two weeks. They should be able to survive like that.
