If/when I upgrade I will get one that I can stand in, maybe get one with pedals as well if I can find it for under $600.
>>1727386My buddy bought a $100 kayak from Dick's that had a hole in it. It filled with water and he flipped it paddling back to shore and lost one of his rods. He purchased some strap on foam floats and leaves them on all the time, even fishing from shore. Looks funny but he's goofy.
Put a decent life jacket with fishing pockets in the budget.
