There's no fake pressure to advance the plot (like needing to climb a mountain etc.), instead you feel like you're at camp with them when you watch it.
The mundane things like cooking, enjoying the scenery, reading a book -- yuru camp conveys that feeling very accurately. I've never normie car camped (only backpacked), and sure, while it is nice to hike to a scenic overlook, it's the time at camp and doing chores that has a very specific relaxing feeling, and yuru camp manages to portray that extremely accurately
It's a feeling that the writers could only describe if they've actually been /out/ themselves
