Mostly military surplus with some commercial items and somethings scavenged It contains a hammock, 2 tarps, 3 canteens, one stainless bowl, a bivy bag (only forgot this item on pic), a sleeping bag, a 100% wool blanket, 3 ferrocium rods, 2 lighters, 1 magnifying lense, 1 striker, flint and cotton, a hobo stove, victorinox pocket knife, edible plant book, cold steel bushman as my main knife, sawyer water, filter, millbank filter, paracord cordage, synthetic padded mattress, fishing gear, a trot line, my sling, medkit, spare socks, long underpants, and one 110 conibear trap, which I want to expand to 2 (only for potential bug out purposes) all build around and on an east german assault pack.

If I had to flee or become a hobo, I would strap most of this gear to my bike anyway.

- Is the bowl your cook pot? Is there a way to move it when it's hot, like leather gloves or handkerchief? How good does the bowl and your metal water bottles work with the hobo stove?
- Silverware? A spoon is what I take.
- Sewing kit/repair kit/maintenance kit. A way to sharpen your blades.
- Flashlight, headlamp.
- You need a rain cover for the bag and yourself. You like military stuff so a perhaps a military poncho.
- Navigation. Compass and maps or gps.
Padding for those straps and waist belt, it looks uncomfortable to me but maybe it's good for you. That's it I think, unless you want a shovel.

>>1729527 I've got two of those packs, they're fucking shit. NVA webbing is miserable. I'm going to assume you're not trolling since the image looks original.
Specific criticism:
>those tarps are just shelter halves, aren't they? >no point in hammock + bivy >no point in sleeping bag + blanket unless you're in an exceptionally cold area >your firestarting gear is absolute absurdity, flint and steel is a meme as are ferrorods, and the magnifying lens is even worse. I bring 2 mini bic lighters and one zippo, the zippo will burn white gas from my stove fuel so I'll never run out of fuel for it >2 knives like that is redundant >you probably don't have enough water >just get a normal camp stove; if you want to be a special snowflake about it get a Optimus Svea >two filters is overly redundant, just stick with the Sawyer >mattress is unnecessary if you're using a hammock >only bring one form of fishing gear; if you're only going to be emergency fishing, make it a gill net >sling is dumb, bring a gun instead. There are tons of options - KelTec's folding 9mm carbine has ok reviews and is suitable for defense and hunting, Chiappa Little Badger for ultralight hunting of small game, or a pistol if you're only concerned about defense >you might want more spare clothing than that >conibear trap? you're not going to be trapping furs, so why? tl;dr way too much unneeded redundancy and misc kit

>>1730168 Now if you're using milsurp for the LARP aspect, this is my stalker-themed LARP setup.
>SMERSH chest rig >BZF-1 food pack at bottom >NVA pack on back, literally the only good use I've ever found for one >mid-tier 2-man kelty tent rigged to NVA pack >wool blanket rigged to BZF, cheapo fleece blanket wrapped around outside >small pack cover that will cover tent, BZF, and blanket - NVA pack is rubberized BZF contents:
>2x 24-hour US MREs - to be replaced with lightweight food when I actually take it out camping NVA contents:
>Katadyn Guide water filter >lightweight, low-quality plastic ground cloth for tent >MSR WhisperLite stove >fuel bottle filled with white gas; used for stove and to refill zippo >fork and spoon >small pot with lid and clamp-type handle >stainless steel plate >plate >5" no-stick frying pan solely because I like hash browns and/or pancakes in the morning >collapsible rubber cup >spare socks >spare underwear >hand towel >ziploc bag containing: Dr. Bronners soap, chinesium battery pack, charging cable, folding double-sided DMT diamond sharpener, toothbrush, toothpaste, toothpicks, spare bic lighter, cigs >small roll of toilet paper Belt:
>4x 20-round VEPR mags (.308) >loaded Makarov in holster with spare mag (16 rounds total) >smoke grenade >zippo >shitty bic lighter >50 feet duct tape wrapped around piece of cardboard >headlamp Externally rigged:
>Terava Mini-Skrama knife >2x US canteens, CBRN caps >(not currently attached) MSA gas mask, since kit is supposed to be stalker themed >cheap rechargable flashlight from Academy, clipped onto molle loops in front >in front shoulder pouch: combat bandage, USSR Civil Defense drug kit Carried:
>VEPR in .308, 16" barrel and 6x42 POSP optic Worn:
>KS90 boots >generic 50-50 cotton-poly pants >cotton t-shirt >flecktarn goretex parka, can store under bedroll if too hot >flecktarn goretex rain pants, can also store under bedroll >mechanix gloves for oper8r purposes, can just clip to belt Anonymous

>>1730225 wrong pic lmao, that was the first time I tried to set it all up.
Cons of this setup and things that eventually need changing:
>my only sleeping pad is too bulky to rig well so I'm going without >stove and cookware is redundant with MREs >can't carry much water currently, will probably get a camelbak to go on top of NVA pack >moderately heavy due to larp gear - each mag alone is 1.5lbs >weight isn't distributed too well, the SMERSH wasn't meant to take a ton of weight in the back >rifle is fuckheavy and will be awkward to carry long distances >water is annoying to access >appearance scares small children and normies A few pros:
>aesthetic >self-contained >still have 2 empty mag pouches for dropping shit in >weight of BZF, bedroll, and everything in pockets sits directly on hips Also, forgot that I've got a bunch of paracord, a small sewing kit, and another little first-aid kit with neosporin/bandaids/other light medical stuff in there as well. I'll be field testing it this weekend at an area close enough to parking that I'll bring a normal sleeping bag and my pad as well if things turn really bad and can stash the rifle in the trunk if someone spergs out about it.

>>1730450 >whining about KS Hello newfag. Their prices are because they check all gear before shipping and have an extremely lax return policy. The Bakelite mags were a mistake that they owned up to. Flecktarn - Varusteleka was saying the same thing about surplus being burned; Germany apparently changed their minds because the war in Ukraine is winding down. As for the landmines, the FBI could have gotten customer info from USPS anyways, and the only thing that refusing to give it out would have done is landed Ivan and a bunch of innocent warehouse workers in jail. They have an FFL and ATF import license, they have to take government agencies seriously.
Meanwhile, while it's admittedly not the poorfag-catering cheap surp outlet it was when they were known as Nugget Enterprises (when it was literally one dude shipping from his house), they supply decent oddball milsurp, some ok-quality meme gear, and were already pivoting to Coronavirus supplies a month and a half ago - most of which they sold at-cost or at a loss to EMTs and hospitals.
Stay forever mad.

>>1729527 I picked up one of these packs on the cheap and love it. I ended up customizing mine, used rivets to attach pouches to the actual pack. Also picked up an East German combat harness and made custom straps.
It's still a work in progress, but it has all the essentials.
Anonymous
>>1731382 I've been thinking of doing the same to mine anon. Were there any difficulties in attaching the pouches?
Anonymous
>>1731388 It's not not too hard. If your pack has the internal weatherproof bag, it might be annoying to get everything lined up. Otherwise, take your time with it and measure everything. I used Leather rivet screws I got from Amazon.
Its held up two 8-mile hikes so far with no issues.

I've got another batch of NVA-gear coming my way. Gonna keep this thread alive cause I will post full body pics soon (with face blurred)
Anonymous
The noice thing about this NVA-gear. It's dirt cheap but good quality. Yeah you can't carry 30 kg with it comfortably, but for light trips it's great. Also, you can use it for 20-30 years, and afterwards just sell it as surplus gear only increases in value. It's never a loss of money. How nice is that? Military surplus is the way to go. I also no longer carry a commercial hammock. I got another Zeltbahn / Palatka instead and learned to make a hammock out of that. And it's extremely tough fabric. It's all about multi purpose

>>1731432 A package containing a deactivated landmind busts open, an airport worker calls the FBI saying there are live mines and one exploded (none had exploded), it's later discovered that the mines sold to kommandostore were not fully deactivated because some still had training smoke triggers in them. A game of telephone ensues where Ivan hears that a mine is exploded and he sold lives mines so he gives the FBI customer information of who bought the mine. But the mines were actually fine. FBI still took some people's mines thou and Kommandostore issued a full refund to everyone that asked I believe.

I've been ordering from them for years and it's always been 10 bucks to the US.
>>1730450 Tbh aside from the cringy stuff with the repros and camo fabrics he's okay. They do a way better job of QC than Varusteleka. I've had to buy some things from them twice before I got a decent one, with Ivan he usually sorts them way better.

I really want a Gorka K1 from KommandoStore but the Corona's stopped them from buying materials so they can't produce it. Guy I keep talking to says that the M1 and K2 are gonna be made but I just want the K1 because the other two look like shit with the camo.
