I saw the alarming gaps in grocery shelves where I lived it, and it suddenly clicked in my head.
But I only bought minimum order size in all cases. I just bought so many different cultivars (especially on tomatoes) it collectively added up. However, I tilled a ton in advance (and yes, I did leave surrounding vegetation to prevent erosion. It rains quite a bit here).
