Anyone have any experience with Lems Boulder co shoes?

I like the idea of lightweight hiking boots. I don't do much walking that would really require heavy duty boots. Normally I just make do with canvas flats when walking but the only thing they lack is ankle protection.

I have the waterproof version and i like them. But I always felt most boots were too heavy. Only thing im worried about is how long the sole will last. I havent had them very long and for the price im hoping they will last a while.

Yeah I was thinking about the waterproof ones instead. I can't count many water crossings in my recent /out/ shit but there's always the chance of stepping in a nice puddle or slipping into a river and wet shoes suck.

Low growing brush that reaches out and deposits ticks and leeches onto my ankles mostly. Also from spraying loose dirt into my own shoes when walking.

I haven't worn their boots, but I wore their leather shoes for ~2 years and liked them, but wasn't a fan of the sole material. It was pretty slippery when wet and wore down fairly quickly.

Wearing gaiters would be much more effective at mitigating both of those things, and would save you a Benjamin

And might work with my bicycle pedal cages. But the soles look a tad slippery. Probably better than the bike sb’s i’m wearing at the moment

I love my Lem's boulder boots for daily wear. They are lightweight, comfy, flexible, and very well made. I've been wearing exclusively minimalist/barefoot footwear for under a decade now, and Lem's meet my standards.
That said, they don't offer the greatest traction. It's not terrible, but the tread isn't the best either. If you think you might be dealing with a lot of slippery situations, it might not be the best choice.
