What's the grand solution to the outdoor problem?
The more people who enjoy the hobby, the more it deteriorates its quality.
More people should be involved in and care about nature so that they are less shitty to live around, and in reality the only way to reliably protect nature is to have a good number of people using it. You can't stop a development or a strip mine from going in with one or two vocal primitive area outdoorsmen. But we all know what blasting roads through and attracting big crowds does.
How do we balance these conflicting objectives? Is there a 3rd way?
