no, but waving it about in the air and shouting should scare it off, also contrary to popular belief climbing a tree is a good idea because you can kick it in the nose if it tries to follow you.

also consider this for bears the one that is below is considered to be at advantage. because it can claw and bite the ass of the above. so climbing after a bear shows dominance and if you kick him off the tree he will never mess with you again and climbing from a bear shows you are pussy ready to get fucked.
