What breeds of ducks and chickens do you have? I have no clue what chicks i have because when i got them i was groggy and hungover. I asked which ones produced the most eggs and they said the ones that were labeled "prolific" so i just grabbed a 12 pack of those.

The chicks kept valting the escarpment and murdered one of the Guineas.
So i provided them separate accommodations.
The chickens better hope the Guineas don't remember this into adulthood. They get bigger.

Feeders are obscured by the rim. I use a laser thermometer. They aren't cold, they just scamper to the otherside as soon as i raise the cover. You can see the chicks on the left aren't afraid of me. and are going about their business.

I usually get rhode island reds. This year I got a mix. Easter egger, amarcanas, laced winged whatevers, etc. I didnt get any super eggs layer like leghorns because they burn out a few years earlier than general purpose birds and I dont usually butcher my egg girls.
The ducks are pekin and khaki campbells. Im trying ducks out so I got half for meat (the pekin) and half for eggs. The supposedly lay all winter. Chickens dry up when the days get short and my wife eats 3 to 6 eggs a day by herself.

Call ducks are good, literally every other type is shit. Trust me, I have owned Pekin, Muscovy (the ugliest, but also the quietest), Khaki (loud), Mallard, and Indian Runners (weird). They all fucking suck though, call ducks are the only ones who like human interaction.
