This. Can't speak to marpat, but ACUs made great field pants and work shirts for four or five years. Pair with regular jeans and t-shirt.

The ACU has a very sensible pocket design, creases in such a way the extremities don't get caught on shit.
If I had to rebuild my wardrobe, it'd be two pairs jeans, three silk/flannel shirts, seasonal underthings, two wool sweaters, and two ACUs. (And work uniform compliment)

I used to hike in my crye AC pants thinking I was so cool looking like an operator. Then I noticed immediately that shit heats up quick and I looked like a total asswipe on the trails. Sold those pants on ebay to some airsofting / gear queer dumb asses for $300 and bought myself some Prana Brion's. Those are 10/10 pants to hike in.

I wear them at work and they're really comfortable. The only issue is the sizing, I bought two pair and ones like an inch and half too small in the waist and the other is perfect so I'm unsure which one is the real size.
