what are some dog breeds that would be cool coming on a boat/canoe to hang out while I fish?

When I was a kid, every 4th of july my cousins would bring their rat terrier who would love coming with us on the pontoon with us would lose his shit whenever we'd get a fish, it was hilarious. Anyone fish with their dog?
