>>1768952>Have you done any training or prep since your thread? Weekly hike no matter what the weather is. No less than 30km long with at least 1200 meters of elevation gain. I've been using (and adding more weight than necessary since I got the Kestrel 58 in March).
>Have you camped out with this set up?I haven't bought anything related to camping yet. I'm waiting until June, the 2nd to know what the government will allow.
>Have you been on a day hike with this packed?I've been on day hikes with more weight than this.
If you're talking about my packing skills, well... just look at thtat picture. Granted, I made zero effort but the clear bag contains 8 meals, 8 proteins bar and all the pates de fruits. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to add dinner and breakfast to the mix even if I ditch the bars, let alone all the other shit.
>>1768956>Have you thought how you will manage food?8 days worth of freeze dried food (honestly, I think I can do it in 7 days but you never know with the wheather and all that shit).
>There a chance resupply could be tricky. There are plenty of towns on the TMB. The shittiest part is Switzerland since they don't use eurobucks and my bank would charge fees if I bought shit there.
>And you _don't_ want to carry all the food.I'm painfully aware of that and yet for some reason I want to do it? You know, gorge myself on these shitty freeze dried meals during the trip, treat myself to a feast on my last night there and bring a crapload of beaufort cheese, wine and saucisson?
