for the bwca I usually bring liquid bags for vodka/whiskey, and a couple of 6-12 packs of beer. I smoke weed, and usually the people I go with smoke too, so I usually try to split a quarter-half oz. Pack of backwoods are versatile; they are great for blunts, and people who don't smoke weed can still smoke a cheap cigar. Ribeyes the first night is a must.

Backwoods as blunts always give me a headache unless there is like a quarter in it, as a cheap cigar though its hard to beat. Food on the first night is always the best, my go to is steak and eggs or andouille jambalya

I'm with all the fortified wines /out/ists. Port or Sherry is good. Good amount of buzz, the right price point tax wise (ausbro here) and available in two liter bag-in-a-box.... I'm not an alcoholic btw, honest. If I'm out for the day or overnight it's in a hip flask, about 260mL. I need a bigger one.
Any Ausbros recommend a hip flask available in orstralia that is about the 500ml mark?

You could probably make it in a big metal cup like one of those Stanley cup if you wanna make it for one and just adjust the times, but a pan will be easier.

I met a guy 4 ½ hrs into a track with a wheelbarrow and 6x 24 packs of beer, what a fucking legend. Was gradual uphill too.
I’ll take a 6 pack of cans for the first night, and some whisky for the remainder.

I take out 160 proof liquor in winter because 80 proof will freeze here. I also bring a few warm beers for the first night and morning. I keep them in my sleeping bag.
In summer, whiskey and some tobacco near the campfire is peak cozy, but if I can afford the weight, I will bring beer.

Just joking, got exactly the same bottles in my closet. But now I discovered Wild Turkey 101 and I pretty much like the smooth taste. Cheap to get even in Switzerland.

Generally I just fill an old pop bottle with cheap rum, but if the money is right and the circumstances are right I like to bring a bottle of homemade wine and a bottle of dragons milk stout. I personally can't stand wine hence the beer but there is something about homemade wine that sets the mood about right. I blame country music.
