>>1760050>why can't you let people enjoy thingsIs a meme'd reddit argument that means nothing. Some idiot can fill his room full of Funko Pops and it's my right to label him a retard just as it's his right to use his rent money to pay for ugly Funko Pops. As well, the main argument against this are negative externalities.
>why do you feel vandwellers are selfishI never said that, I said hate most van-dwelling millennials, primary hobbyists excluded. So if you go from water to water to enjoy your hobby, good for you. I hate the type that know where all the free residential parking is in the city, preventing those families from having guests to park near their house, etc. Legal? Depending on the area sure, but legal and moral are two different things.
And I'm not sure why I hate most millennials, maybe it's to do with their idpol neo-liberal-worship Clintonism movements. Maybe it's the I fUcKiNg lOvE sCiEnCe-bazinga culture they've created, while most of them don't even read the scientific literature.
>Is it because I am not pulling my weight somehow?Sure, there's an element to that.
My interactions with millennials in trying to build out my van has left a sour taste in my mouth. I get friendlier, better advice from RV boomers. I get Marxist-level contempt from most young people and half-assed advice at best. I get solar, electrical, watermanagement, etc advice from boomers. I get "just go to home depot and buy a 5 gallon bucket to shit in" advice from millennials. I didn't bust my ass through undergrad and grad school to shit in a bucket filled with kitty litter.
Keep in mind, I'm a millennial myself. Happy to clarify anything else.
