>>1765572If you do it the way i intend, buy the island and build a mudhouse and eat off the land/river/ocean not much.
Depends on where you want to be, how big you want the island, climate, soil and food preferences.
You can get cheap islands in the Philippines but id say spend over $65k USD because then you're entitled to a permanent residency.
The island i was looking at was about $400K USD and was in Chile. It was 60 acres which is a lot for a single person, it was surrounded by water at the point where the river meets the sea. It was perfect, it had trees, close to water, lots of food potential. The only downside was the island had a low clay content which you need to build a mud house. Thankfully the clay you need is dirt cheap *giggles*. Less than $100 USD per tonne, you can easily build a mud kingdom with 5 tonnes but you do need to transport it (boat). You dont need clay though, you could get away with a tent.
You;ll also need a boat, that can be anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand depending on what you need. I dont intend to go deep sea fishing, i dont need an expensive boat, the waters are quite calm so i could get away with a paddle boat though a small motor would be nice.
In total, ill need about 500K USD for this entire operation to work + whatever the permanent residency requirements are for when it happens.
