>>1771238This is a pattern that has repeated itself over, and over, and over.
1. They find a hobby that happens to be enjoyed by white people, especially white men.
2. Then they lament the absence of [minority, women, gay, trans etc special interest group].
3. They insist its due to outright bigotry. Failing that, they blame an ethereal, nebulous concept of white/male/heteronormitive socially constructed institutions and systems. [/out/ is here]
4. Then they insist that changes need to be made to encourage more "diversity"
5. A narrative of rampant bigotry within the activity is generally accepted by normies who don't know any better.
6. That reputation is scary to policy makers within that group, who immediately make the requested changes to avoid being called bigoted.
7. Some of the original people who enjoyed the hobby make weak attempt to object, all of whom are immediately blacklisted into silence.
8. The policy makers and organizations become locked into a perpetual state of making concessions, apologizing, and hiring "diversity" experts to be more accommodating.
9. The hobby loses what made it worth doing in the first place.
They did it with video games, tabletop games, metal, atheism, leftist politics, programming, movies, and so much more.
Think of an activity or interest that's typically considered a white people thing", then Google "diversity within [the thing]" or "the whiteness of [the thing]". You will find this same pattern repeated over and over and over. The only way to stop it is to tell them to fuck off and reject their accusations outright.
