>>1770087There's nothing like that near Hamilton, that area is almost entirely privately owned, and the parts that aren't are those patrolled conservation areas. It's pretty much the worst area of Ontario as far as /out/ goes. If you don't mind driving and want semi-wilderness or wilderness experiences, try QE2 Wildlands park, the Massasauga Prov. Park, conservation reserves (not areas) north of Barrie, Algonquin backcountry, and maybe the Bruce Peninsula, though it's pretty developed now. Those are the sorta close ones.
