In reponse to the old thread that was on bump limit:
>>1770153>common knowledge on /fit/Right, you need to leave behind /fit/ stuff. When training for endurance sports like running or hiking it's a whole different approach. The aim is to be get to the point where you can exercise everyday comfortable.
If you want to know more then the best book I've read is Train For The Up Hill Athelete.
>build muscle mass.Again, you're playing a different game here. The goal isn't to get stronger in the way you're talking about it. With training for hiking the recommendation is to train with 75% of what you're heaviest pack weight will be. No need to carry more weight then you think you'll need.
>Doesn't that stuff go bad pretty quickly?Nah. Dehydrated food will last. Buy hard cheeses and they'll last a couple of days, pate is usually ok for a day or two, make sure you buy well cured meats then they'll be ok for 3-4 days. I dunno maybe my body is used to this sort of thing but I've never had trouble.
>How do you store itIn europe I don't worry so much, just have it in any old bag. But if you're worried about rats and mice then buy a loksak.
>>1770178>Tupperware is a thing I guess.I've never needed it, pack your fruit and veg lightly in the top and it should be fine. It's not like you're throwing your pack down hills and such.
